PASSIVHAUS STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION WINNER
Congratulations to our own Part 2 Architectural Assistant, Dayana Anastasova, who has won the PassivHaus Student Competition 2020 with her Master's design thesis project.
As hard as it was to wave off our Part 1 Architectural Assistant, Kasia, to continue her Master's studies in Ghent, we are pleased to welcome back Dayana Anastasova who recently completed her Master's from Cardiff University and now joins us as a Part 2 with a view to completing her architectural qualifications.
Planning permission has been granted for a new single-storey, two-bedroom house in Barnes which will be built to Passivhaus standards.

We are currently working on three passivhaus projects; one post-planning and two at design stage. We are committed to sustainable architecture and strive to create the most energy-efficient buildings on each and every one of our projects.
In accordance with Government advice on COVID-19, we confirm Clive Chapman Architects are fully operational whilst now working remotely.

RIBA RECRUITMENT AND RETAINMENT INSIGHTS LUNCH
On 28th November, our Practice Manager, Lucy Arrowsmith, took part in a round-table discussion at the RIBA in Portland Place with 12 other representatives that had been invited to attend from UK architectural practices. This event was a chance to discuss the most effective means of recruitment and retainment within the architectural industry, and the impact that the current economic and political climate has had on the recruitment process.
Planning permission has been granted at committee, for Land to Rear of Leander Court, by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
RHP DESIGN TRAINING
On 24th September our Associate, Andrew Gilbert, led a training day for Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP) staff at their offices in Teddington. Arranged by the Development Department, this was a chance for other members of the RHP team to think about the process behind preparing a feasibility proposal using one of RHP's own sites as an example. The day was a resounding success and everybody got the chance to draw something!
