Construction on an Island!
Have you ever wondered how construction happens on an island with footbridge-only access? Apart from numerous trips backwards and forwards over the bridge with wheelbarrows, sometimes only a barge delivery will do. Today we witnessed the delivery of Onsen Energy's ground-source heat pump installation equipment, by river, as part of the refurbishment of a Building of Townscape Merit on The Thames. Ground source heat pump piping will be inserted into a 130 metre drilled vertical bore hole in the ground to access the geothermal energy.
