Four-bedroom hilltop house in Sivota, Greece
CLIENT Private
DATES Expected start on site November 2024
The green roof extends out from the existing hillside providing solar shading to both the house and surrounding terrace. Sliding pocket doors will allow the indoor, outdoor spaces to be defined by the roofline, brise soliel and infinity pool.
The house will be built to Passivhaus standards, cooled by earth pipes, and an MVHR. Air source heat pumps powered by photovoltaics, batteries, solar thermal water heating, airtight construction, 895mm thick stone walls with high levels of insulation, will ensure very low energy use. Rainwater harvesting will store 250m3 of underground water cisterns.
