New Build House, Eel Pie Island, Twickenham

CLIENT  Private Client

DATES  Completed September 2013

A new flood-resilient, three-bedroom house on Eel Pie Island, which is designated as a high-probability flood risk area (flood zone 3a). The house replaces a multi shed-like Timber and Asbestos clad residence, in the Twickenham Riverside Conservation Area on the River Thames.

The house echoes the architectural style of the rest of the island and is constructed from timber with stained horizontal timber cladding, with a zinc roof.

The finished floor level is built high enough to satisfy the requirements of the Environment Agency.
